Getting started
Delete your account
How to delete your Rytmia account in the app or on the web, and what to do when deletion is refused.
Your Rytmia account is you as a person — your name, your phone number and your sign-ins. Deleting it also takes you out of every organization you belong to, not only the one you have open. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
If you only want to stop working with one company, you do not need to delete your account. Read Leave an organization instead first.
In the app
- Tap your avatar at the top right of the home tab. This opens Account.
- At the bottom, under Delete, tap Delete account.
- Read what is erased and what is kept, then tap Text me a code.
- Enter the code you receive by text message and tap Delete my account.
If you no longer belong to any organization, the app shows No organizations yet with Sign out and Delete account buttons. The second one leads to the same steps.
On the web
You can also delete your account at office.rytmia.app/account/delete. The page works even if you no longer belong to any organization, and even if an organization’s subscription has lapsed.
From inside an organization, you get there like this:
- Click your avatar at the top right and choose Profile.
- Open the … menu on the profile card and choose Delete account.
- Click Send code to confirm.
- Enter the code from the text message and click Delete my account.
If you change your mind before the last step, click Keep my account.
The screen where you choose an organization, and the screen shown when a subscription has lapsed, also carry a quiet Delete account link at the bottom.
Once the account is deleted you are signed out everywhere. Your phone number is free again and can be used to create a new account.
When deletion is refused
Rytmia checks a few things before any code is sent. If deletion is refused, nothing has happened yet — sort out what the message says and try again.
- You are still checked in. Check out of the shift you are on first.
- You are the only admin. An organization cannot be left without an admin. Give someone else the Admin role in that organization, or delete the organization if it should no longer exist. The message names the organizations concerned — they can be others than the one you have open, so check each of them.
- This account cannot be deleted here. Some accounts, such as Rytmia’s own staff accounts, cannot be deleted self-service. Contact Rytmia support.
An invitation does not count as an admin until it has been accepted. Invite your successor, wait until they have joined, and then give them the Admin role.
Delete the organization
If the organization should stop existing altogether, an admin can delete it: in the app under Account → Delete organization, or on the web under Organization → Subscription. That ends the organization for everyone in it, and it is also how the subscription ends. Your own account stays afterwards, so you can delete it as a next step.
Leave an organization instead
Leaving and deleting are two different things:
| Leave an organization | Delete your account | |
|---|---|---|
| Applies to | One organization | Every organization you belong to |
| Your account | Stays | Erased |
| You can sign in again | Yes | No, but the number can be used for a new account |
You leave an organization on the web: Profile → the … menu → Leave organization. The same rules apply as for deletion — you must be checked out, and at least one other admin must remain. Upcoming visits you were booked on go back to needing someone.
What is kept
Your name, phone number, sign-ins and devices are erased. What you recorded while working — such as check-ins, checklists, deviations and visits you have already worked — stays with each company, without your name.
The full account of what is erased, what your employer keeps and for how long is on Delete account and in section 9, Retention, of the privacy policy.
